Excellus, a $5B health care services company, led an Asset Life Cycle Management (ALM) assessment across all IT Towers including
Desktop, Open Systems, Mainframe, Network and Applications. The assessment generated deliverables in three steps: Step
I created a thorough understanding of current ALM practices using JAD sessions and swim lane diagramming. Using this foundation,
Step II created a blueprint for change and recommend best practice process improvements to reduce cost and meet regulatory
compliance requirements. Step III prioritized requirements in the form of an implementation road map. In addition, use cases
were developed to drive a proof of concept vendor solution for automated discovery and license reconciliation.
